Baskets
The baskets by «RUSBAL» are of traditional design. Most of the air balloon manufacturers design baskets the same way. The load structure is represented by a rigid bottom made of strong waterproof plywood with steel wires beneath it.
The basket wires are connected to the envelope flying cables with carabiners. The walls of the basket are wickerwork; it contributes to basket elasticity at landing.
The main distinctive feature of baskets by SPE «RUSBAL» is their lightness compared to baskets by other manufacturers, as their structure includes tubes made of aluminum-magnesium alloy.

SPE «RUSBAL» manufactures several models of baskets; each of them is compatible with several envelopes.
The choice-making principle is the same as for the envelopes: it depends on the desired number of people aboard the air balloon.
If the desired number of people aboard does not coincide with the basket occupancy, you are recommended to make your choice in favor of the basket with a bigger occupancy. It will let you perform flights with a bigger take-off mass at a low ambient air temperature, e.g. in winter. In any case, the basket must match the capacity and the model of the envelope.

The mass values are given for an empty basket, without burner support rods, their covers and other additional parts and options. These values may slightly vary from the real ones. The actual mass values are given in operational documentation.
When choosing baskets for commercial flights, provided that they are of the same occupancy, it is preferable to choose partitioned baskets with a bigger number of compartments.

Baskets may have doors, which is very convenient for commercial flights with passengers. The door may open either towards left or right. It takes several seconds to change the direction of its opening. The safety lock prevents the door from its spontaneous or unintentional opening in flight or while landing. The door increases the mass of the basket by 9…10 kg. The door makes the presence of the turning vent in the envelope obligatory, to provide landing on side of the basket opposite the side with a door.

Color variations
Different elements of the basket may be of various colors. SPE «RUSBALs» uses materials of various colors to manufacture holders, handles to carry the basket and stripes for cylinders. The choice of basket color does not affect its price. Wickerwork may be also painted different colors or it may carry a picture which will make an accent on the singularity of the owner.
